Rebecca Lucas leads the Family Law team at CPC Lawyers, bringing nearly 2 decades of experience in the legal industry and a deep commitment to helping families navigate complex and emotional transitions with dignity and respect.

Rebecca completed a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) at Charles Darwin University in 2015, followed by a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice through The University of Adelaide and The Law Society of South Australia later that year. She began her legal career in 2006 as a legal secretary and went on to work in a variety of roles, including paralegal and law clerk, before her admission to practice in 2015.

Having experienced the family law system as a child of separated parents, Rebecca brings genuine empathy to her work. Her practice is centred on minimising the impact of separation on children and helping clients resolve matters efficiently through alternative dispute resolution. A collaboratively trained practitioner, she regularly participates in direct negotiations, mediations, and family dispute resolution conferences. Her calm approach, strategic thinking, and ability to problem-solve under pressure enable her to achieve practical, lasting outcomes for her clients.

As Head of Family Law, Rebecca is responsible for case management, strategy development, client advice, and mentoring junior lawyers. She is also a key representative of the firm at professional and community events, known for her professionalism, compassion, and sound understanding of the law. Her reputation has led to a strong referral network from clients, peers, and other professionals.
​
Rebecca is a member of the Law Society of South Australia Family Law Section, and WLASA (Women Lawyers Association of SA). She also serves as Chair of the College of Law South Australia Curriculum Advisory Committee, contributing to the development of future practitioners in the field.
​
Outside the office, Rebecca enjoys reading, shopping, spending time with her children, and being outdoors in summer. A passionate netball supporter, GO T-Birds! she also has a background in competitive dance and a lifelong love of music.
​
Her ultimate goal is to grow a practice that focuses on resolving disputes with dignity through collaborative processes, become an accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, and continue giving back to the community.

​Fun fact: Rebecca once competed nationally as a hip hop dancer before choosing to study law, and now proudly relives her dance career through her daughter!
